Choosing the perfect tree

Hot Chocolate

Before any tree choosing can happen one needs fortification. In this case it is a warm cup of hot chocolate. However if you are going in the morning may I suggest a festive peppermint mocha. All the chocolate goodness of cocoa with the caffeine boost of coffee. Once you have that then it's time to hit the tree farm, or tree lot depending on where you live. When I lived up north we went to a tree farm, tramped through the snow, mud or whatever was covering the ground at the time. That isn't an option where I live now so if I want a real tree it's parking lot tree lot. Now it's the hard part. Finding that perfect tree. You don't want one too tall for the room you are putting it in, not do you want it too scraggly that is has giant gaps in it. For me the perfect tree needs to be tall, not too fat around and it must smell like a Christmas tree.

This is a good one

This one looks perfect to me. Look at those strong branches and lovely green needles. It will look fantastic in my living room all dressed up in Christmas finery. What is your preferred look for a Christmas tree?
