I only look lazy

Sure it may look like I am just reading a book, and man do I wish that was the case. Sadly RL has been kicking my butt this week. I feel like I am so far behind on everything. Well I am rocking some newness in this post so that counts for something right? Oh you may want to know what is new huh? Well the hair is one of the newer style from Exile and the skin is from the newest skin line at Leafy. Hopefully I will get the time to sit down and properly do posts on both of these new releases. If I don't thought here is a closer look at the skin and hair (there is more obviously this just happens to be what I wore)

My tour of the workshop

I was lucky enough to score a guided tour through Santa's workshop by one of his elves. Of course I didn't get to see the big man because he was exhausted from his activities last night. The tour started outside with the reindeer stables, well the stables are just where they relax during the day, they have really posh places to sleep in at night but I wasn't allowed into their private quarters.


I don't know what they feed the reindeer but even the stables smelled like Christmas trees and cinnamon! Next stop was the toy making area. Ella, my elf guide, told me one of the best jobs is to test the cuddle factor on the stuffed animals and dolls.


That doll is off to a little girl somewhere next year. The elves are always making new toys, just in case. After that it was time for a snack so we headed off to the kitchen to bake some delicious cookies. I was told that everyone has a certain favorite so today was chocolate chip cookie day.


After our snack of hot cocoa and cookies it was time to see one of the many decorated trees around the workshop. Ella was particularly proud of her elf sized tree she decorated with her friends.


She did an excellent job with the tree don't you think. Finally the last stop was the busiest most important room in the workshop, Santa's office! I for to see his desk complete with the naughty and nice inboxes. It's true he is working round the clock to check that list (well you know when he isn't out or sleeping).


I am so thankful to Ella for the special tour and to all those celebrating Christmas today I wish you a Merry Christmas and to anyone who isn't well then I wish you a Happy Holidays and Happy Sunday as well.

Tending to the reindeer

Now everyone seems to think that the elves take care of everything up North but lets be honest they can't do it alone. So they have help and over the past few days we have met a few. Today I will introduce you to Regina, she tends to the reindeer. Now everyone knows Santa has at least eight, well nine if you count Ruldolph, reindeer, but there are more. You see reindeer are just like other animals and they can get sick and injured so Regina takes the time to train replacements.


She shares a very special bond with each one, some are even the offspring of the more famous reindeer.


Rudolph is a randy fellow and I guess is making up for lost time because there are a fair few in Regina's care who share his erm...unique traits.


Regina takes such good care of them that they have made her an honorary reindeer and bestowed upon her special antlers. Tomorrow I get a special inside tour from one of Santa's elves!

Grinchy

Not everyone who lives in the North Pole are all holly jolly helpers. Some have a hard time getting into the mood for the holidays.


Greta happens to be one of those people. She happens to be a Grinch so it is kinda in here genes to be a little, well  you know. Some days I don't blame her, this time of year can get a little overwhelming even for the holly jolliest of "us".


Maybe all the Who's down in Whoville can change her attitude, but if they don't at least she is fashionable.

Miss Snow

This is Miss Snow, she is another inhabitant of the North Pole. You see it's not just Santa's elves that live up there. He has many other friends who make their residency there as well. Miss Snow takes care of all the small animals that live around the village. Today Miss Snow is rocking a little winter white. The snow can't have all the glory in the wintertime can it? Of course in the cold and snow one must layer so a puffy jacket over a sweater is just the thing. She never wears gloves or mittens though because they would get in the way of her work.


In the cold north it is always nice to think about the little birdies that don't fly south for the winter. She makes sure they all have something to eat year round.

Jacklyn Frost

Sticking with yesterdays frosty theme today I present Miss Jacklyn Frost. She is Jack Frost's lesser known sister and is in charge of snowflakes (just go with me here). She inspects each snowflake and makes sure that they are all unique because it would be tragic if there were ever two snowflakes that looked the same.


Sometimes she will string the snowflakes together, these flakes are used for big storms!


And other times she finds a HUGE snowflake, these are the extra special ones that get tucked into a secret stash for Christmas snow. It is the most magical of all snow you know.

Wintery Ice Fae

I have a theory, I don't think Jack Frost is a solo act. In fact I am fairly certain he has helpers and I think this ice fae is one of his helpers.


I mean just look at her clothes and face. If she isn't responsible for the ice covered trees that look so magical in the winter time well then I will just have to disagree. One kiss on a window and it would frost over in a splash of ice crystals.


I could even picture her dancing across a pond and it freezing as her delicate toes touch it. In fact if you have ever seen Fantasia there are fairies that do just that (The Waltz of the Flowers if you want to look it up).

Sorcerer's Apprentice

See in the movie they wear point "old man shoes" to because it helps conduct energy better or something like that. Dark Sister

Once upon a time there was a girl who spent hours looking at pictures of pin ups and burlesque dancers thinking they were all so beautiful. Meeting the Polar Bears

One day recently I went outside my humble home and discovered a family of polar bears had decided to take up residency. Now I don't blame these bears because I live on a island with a bunch of great people. Well I decided that if they were going to be stay then I should go out and introduce myself, they seemed friendly enough.


I figured I would slowly let Papa Bear get to know me, seeing as he is the biggest. We got along great! Then I saw Junior. Junior and I have a wee bit in common. You see Junior is a fan of stars as well.


Next I went over to watch Mama and Baby bear play together. They were just too cute for words.


After a bit of time outside with them I decided it would be a good idea to head inside. Unlike the bears I am not meant to be outside in the cold. But I did give Papa a big snuggle before I left them.


He is so soft and snuggly!

Yeah again I went literal with the name. Of course now I feel guilty after I learned what the name was originally was and what it meant. Oh well as I have learned it to be Blitzen and what I know the word to mean this is what you get. It also means she is the eighth and last reindeer.

Donner

Poor Donner, saddled with the lamest reindeer name of them all. I mean if you think about it all the other reindeer's names can be interpreted into a meaningful way, but poor Donner. Though upon further inspection it seems that Donner was meant to mean Thunder. Which in my opinion is a fair bit cooler than Donner.


Well this Donner looks pretty cool not matter what you call him.

I will admit Vixen is the first reindeer I styled as she was the easiest (no pun intended). Looking all sexy in a short red sequin dress and some sexy heels. Maybe she and Prancer should get together. They look like a good pair don't you think?


They both seem to have the look of "I'd do me too if I were you." Or maybe that is all in my head. It is more than entirely possible. I shall leave to go and ponder such things.

Maybe Prancer is trying to seduce everyone?

Dancer

I will say sorry now for the fact that a few items in this post you can no longer get. You see when you get to be a certain age in SL you have a vast accumulation of wonderful things, some of which have been retired and some from store that are no longer around. However they are still wonderful things to wear, but I am babbling so I will stop. Today I am donning my minty tutu to be Dancer, and as you can see I was a little bit literal here. That is the advantage to picking my reindeer first, I got the easier ones.

Dasher

Happy December everyone! For the next eight days I will be introducing you to each of Santa's reindeer. Well our version of reindeer I mean. I asked Phlint to help me out and we split them right down the middle (eww not literally though!) So there will be four boys and four girls and we will go in order so today Dasher tomorrow Dancer then Prancer the next day and so on. Well on with the show...


We had a little debate as to whether Dasher should be a fast runner or just a dashing looking gentleman. As you see the gentleman won out.


I must say Phlint...errr Dasher does look quite dashing in that suit and he sure has some mighty big horns.
