Happy Holidays

This won't be a normal post today, instead I want to share my heartfelt thanks to friends, designers and everyone else who has shared a moment with me this past year.

Thank you to all the designers out there who have shared their love for creating with all of us. SL would be pretty ugly without you all.

To all my friends..thank you for being there when I needed you. For putting up with all that is me :)

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and may your 2010 be filled with nothing but good things, even those of you who I don't know.

Off to a party

Okay so I am really all dressed up with no place to go, as is the life of a virtual hermit. But hey I think with all the running around I have to do in RL I can be a hermit in SL. But this post isn't about my hermitiness (it's a new word), it is about this gorgeous dress from Ingenue. Sure there may be those of you out there that do not like system skirts, but how can you not love this dress? It is simple and elegant all at the same time. The texture on the flower makes me want to reach through the screen and touch it. I imagine it has a soft satiny feel about it.


I did have a devil of a time trying to figure out what jewelry I wanted to wear with this dress. I think I spent a good 45 minutes trying on different combinations till I finally settled on just a necklace. I know a lot of effort for one piece of jewelry, but I admit I am really picky. At least the clutch was an easy choice as were the shoes so I saved some time there.

One skirt to rule them all!

Haha Now that I have enraged all the Lord of the Rings fans out there on with the post! I think the title of the post says it all huh, one skirt used to create three different looks.

The first look was put together with Christmas in mind. I attempted to combine the usual red and greens of the holiday in a festive but not o over the top garish way.


ext up is a more posh party look. Red and green not your thing or maybe you are just sick of it completely. Well this may be right up your alley. Using the color change script in the skirt I changed the belt to black and then added a silver metallic top. Okay fine so really it is a dress without the skirt but hey I get points for creativity right? The bow in the hair is a ever so subtle nod to the holidays without looking like Christmas barfed all over you.


Not in a holiday mood or maybe you just want to go for a stroll in the snow. I got you covered. Again same skirt only with a blue belt now and some blue accessories. Blue and white just seem to go together so well when you are thinking about the cold weather and snow.


So there you have it three different looks all using the same skirt, oh and if you were wondering yes is does come in other colors. I just chose white since it fit my evil plans.

Fairest Maiden

One of my secret fantasies has always been to be an elven maiden. Graceful, haunting and beautiful. Walking in the snow in the middle of the night, long gown flowing in the cold air, the still peaceful night my only companion.

Dusk & Summer

The other day Brandy did a post with involving an album cover, go read it here. She asked if anyone would be willing to do the same. Well I took a few and this one is my favorite. I wasn't going to blog it but I was prodded into doing it. The prodders know who they are! If you have no desire to see it then feel free to move on, I will just go into the corner and cry feeling all heartbroken and rejected.

I chose the cover of the Dashboard Confessional album Dusk & Summer. It's so pretty and there is so much emotion in the cover, the songs aren't too shabby either :)
