I will say I am sorry right off the bat to those of you who do not like naked people on the feed. I tried to be tasteful I swear! It takes something special to get me naked and Ivey Deschanel of Sn@tch was able to get me naked and on the feed. She fed my need for stars, from neck to ankle, my body is wrapped in stars. Because Ivey loves us and wants us to be happy (or so I guess) she included that tattoo on every layer

I think I love this tattoo more then there are stars in it. Am I gushing too much, if so I am sorry. Now I just need to find a willing volunteer to count all the stars for me. It has to be more fun then counting the stars in the sky right?

Going on an Adventure!

Getting weary from all the grid wide hunts going on? Want to do something fun and challenging? Well I have just the thing for you. Head on over to Sanu and try your luck at the latest adventure hunt. This time you will be following in Chloe's tracks to find the King of the Dale's missing keys. At the end of the quest you will find out if you are worthy of knighthood or just a thieving rogue. I will admit I did get stumped a couple of times trying to find the keys, but in the end it was completely worth it.

These are the prizes you can get from each of the keys. Each key costs 1L, but really what you get is worth so much more! There are two different lip ring options, a belly ring, ring, earrings, choker, nose stud, head dress and monocle all for the finding!

At the very end of the quest when you meet the King there is also the option to buy an add on set to the quest prizes. This include another set of earrings, monocle with dangly bits and two different style chokers. If the add on set is out of your price range there are tips jars set up so you can show Sanura how much fun you had.

Fantastical Creature

I never promised to be "normal". I never wanted to be a "fashionista" wearing only the fanciest of clothes and skins. My style varies from one end of the spectrum to the next, although one thing is consistent. I will never be human. This is not to say I have anything against those who wish to remain human in their Second Life. I prefer to be every fantastical creature I can possibly come up with.

When I walked into the *KUROTSUBAKI* at plod the other night, the small earth leg attachment caught my eye. I am facinated by odd things like this and new it had to be mine. Going from knee to ankle the small earth leg lets you have a tree in place of your skin and bones. Nestled at the base of the tree is the adorable *KUROTSUBAKI* bunnies many have grown to love.

The skin I am wearing I lusted after the moment I saw it. Named for one of my favorite bloggers Mourna Biziou of Strange Pixels. I love the rust color of the makeup and the look of freckles across the bridge of the nose makes me think of fauns. (don't ask why it just does :P)

I was on the hunt for a new piercing and after some suggestions from Acha, I headed over to .:ellabella:. and picked up the Starry Lip Chains. I am always in awe of peoples abilities to create with tiny prims. The patience I know it takes to make these things is incredible.

As for my outfit, does it get any cuter than this? The NekoPa outfit from *Edelweiss* gives you both a skirt and a set of pants to wear with the adorable hoodie. Click the tail of the hoodie and your hood will come up over your head and show off sweet little kitty ears.

Now some of you may be wondering just what anthropomorphic means. Let me make it easier on you.

Now you may ask yourself, what is her problem? Well you see, I have a large collection of Furry avatars and I am usually reluctant to wear them outside of my skybox because of the prejudice towards furries by a lot of the SL community.

Why do we fear the things we don't understand? I myself do not attend Furry Conventions in RL. Nor do I consider myself a True Furry, being one who hangs out among other furs and is very active in the furry community. I am more of the kind of person who is fascinated by these creatures. Animals with human traits, they are so cute. I just want to jump into a pile of furries and snuggle them to pieces......ahem...I'm sure this was supposed to be a post about some fashion wasn't it...

Newness from Exile and Shine!

Last night I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the new home to Exile and others, Covet. What an appropriate name cause boy did I want a lot! First we will start with the new releases from Exile, while there may be ones for the boys I am going to focus on my two favorites for the ladies. First up is the Love Story hair. This is a beautiful updo perfect for a night out. Next up is Ursula, of course when I hear Ursula I always think of the sea witch from The Little Mermaid, but there is nothing evil about this style!

If you are part of the update group you can go in there and pick up a special coloring of the Ursula hair and the boys style Jiro too. I think it looks pretty good on the ladies as well. Look for yourself.

Oh and if you have trouble picking out what colors you may want fear not, for there is a free wearable color demo, a cute pony tail style. Who knows you may be surprised to find a color you never thought you would wear. I know Sakura did last night!

Now Exile is not the only shop finding a home on Covet. For weeks Miss Brandy has been teasing those of us on Plurk with little glimpses of her works in progress and finally last night I was able to see the fruits of her labor. Not only did I grab the eyes you see in the pictures (the first eyes I have found that come close to my RL eyes), but also some pretty shinys too. I picked up the Geo set because well I had to have it and I even told Brandy I wanted a RL version to wear.

On March 17,2009 Ryker Beck brought her Eden skins to the grid. Among those released, Ryker included the Ginger and Juniper skin tones. It is rare to see an Asian and Nubian tone in world, and these are beautifully done.

The overall shading on the body is lovely, nothing harsh, of the two I have shown here, I think the Juniper is my favorite.

As for makeups, the Eden skins come in a variety of them. I have picked my favorites from these two tones to show here. Every skin has what I would call a smoky eyelash effect to them, which is nice for those of us who don't usually use prim lashes. The lips are beautifully done on each skin too and the lip colors are lovely. Many of the eyeshadows are a pretty glittery look, not overdone, very subtle.




For those who prefer pubic hair, the Eden skins offers it on clothing layers that is easily tinted to your liking.

Koi

Last year the amazing Selos Dae gave our virtual world the gift of the [][]Trap[][] Koi skin. Unfortunately for most of us, the skin was only available for a few short days at the Harajukubox skin fair. I, among others, regretted never picking it up back then. Lucky for us Selos decided to bring the skin back, reworked and with additions.

Selos' work is amazing. The beautiful makings of the koi skin swirl about the body in a colorful display. The addition of the head tattoo (not seen on me because it's under my hair >_<)gives you the opportunity to wear this skin with a variety of scalp flaunting hairstyles or you may choose to go bald :D

Selos also has added an undershirt/underwear layer for this skin, allowing you to cover up a bit and run amok nekkid at the day you were born. Well, your bunns will still be out but everyone will be so taken by your beauty I doubt they will notice. Another nice thing about the underwear layers is that you can mix and match them with the other Koi skins making yourself as unique as possible.

So here is my one ARC, zero prim look I will be rocking at the RFL clothing fair in the near future. I don't mind going bald at all, I mean it is for a great cause after all. I picked out a skin that is one that I don't get to wear on an everyday basis. What better time to bust out those super funky skins that I know you have sitting in your inventory just dying to be let out. As for my clothing I chose to keep it simple in a pair of jeans and a lovely minty top, just the right splash of colors against the grey skin. So after I showed you my inability to commit to an outfit I thought I would show you one that I was able to commit to, for a few days in fact. I don't know if it is because it is March or the Irish blood in me, but I love the greens in this outfit. Not to mention the fact that there are stars on my shoes and lip ring, always an outfit plus in my book. The leopard leggings paired with the skirt make it a nice spring outfit. Perfect for when it is not warm enough to go out with bare legs but too nice to be trapped in pants. We have been getting a taste of that kind of weather around here and I hope it lasts, even though deep down I know we can still get snow storms into April. Ah well such is life. Winter can't last forever and I say bring on spring!

What I wore yesterday

tuYesterday I was bored and decided to chronicle my outfit changes throughout the day. It was really amusing to see what I started the day and ended the day in. The middle of the day is usually chaotic and when I am busy in RL.

I started off the day in black. I really quite liked this outfit a lot. It amused my that my morning outfit could also be dubbed a mourning outfit because of all that black. Yup I am quite easily amused and had way to much caffeine coursing through me in the morning.

After looking over the feed I came across this post which led to this post which led to the picture above. I was trying feebly to goth up Barbie. I think I made her look more insane then goth, but oh well

Since I didn't want to stay looking like Barbie all day I changed back into my usual self. There was no way I wanted her body or blue eyes all day. I admit I was being a bit lazy and didn't bother changing my hair from the Barbie pictures. I likes the sweetness of all the pink and hearts but with the skulls balancing everything out.

I finished off the night in this outfit. I think this is the longest I have ever spent trying to put together a look. I basically challenged myself to find something to wear with the snakeskin pants. I had those sitting in my inventory for the longest time with no idea what sort of top to wear with it. I think I did a good job and the day came full circle since I ended the day in the same skin that I started it in. Not too shabby eh?

Green girl

Deviance just released some new jeans and one style has stars! By now anyone who reads le blog knows I love stars. Being the modest girl that I am…hey stop that snickering!....I chose wear a shirt, even though these jeans would be great on their own. I tossed on this halter and sweater in green from Naïve. They are on sale currently because they are green. The Naïve green sale reminded me of the Scribble green sale, which is where I picked up my shoes and hair. Notice the star on the hat, well technically the stitch pattern is changeable, but of course I picked the star.

Rounding out all this starry goodness is a lip ring that I picked up from ellabella. The star was purple but because I am a clever little minx, I tinted it green to match the rest of my outfit.

The Laundry Fairy is hard at work

It is days like today that have me convinced that my kids believe that there is a magical fairy that delivers clean folded clothes to their bedroom. Even though they have seen me and on rare occasions actually help with it, it still seems like magic. Is it obvious that I have been doing laundry all day in my RL?

It's a dirty job, more now that there is mud around, but someone has to do it!

Black Eyed Susan

Yay I have a witty or maybe punny title for my post again. After I professed my love for my black eyes yesterday I had this idea to dress in stuff all named Susan. However I am amazingly lazy at times and there was no way I was going to spend all day combing the grid for stuff, so I changed my idea slightly. Instead of dressing in Susan named stuff I decided to dress in the colors, or as close as I could come, to the colors of a Black Eyed Susan.


You see my dark hair, that is supposed to be the center of the flower and my pretty dress the petals. Pretty ingenious no? Oh I did give my self two extra awesome points for my shoes actually having the name Sue in them; it is close enough I think. Oh and I asked my close personal fashion advisor, fine I sent Sakura a picture of myself, and we both thought this skin gave me an Asian look. Agree..Disagree?
