The challenge Mistress herself Achariya has issued another challenge to focus on some of our favorite pose makers. I chose to focus on the poses from Sugar Mill because when ever I do a post with Sakura these are the poses we almost always turn to. They are so fun and playful, just like the creator Anicia. While the poses at Sugar Mill may vary from the silly to the mushy, it's the silly ones that I love best. It was hard for me to pick just five, but here they are.

Cupcakes - Lovespell

After a bit of a break, partly to work on stuff for the shop and part my own extreme laziness, I am back to blogging :D

I'm kicking off with these beautiful Lovespell skins from Cupcakes. Mimi Coral and Rosemary Galbraith have been providing the grid with their lovely skins for some time now. Their newest offering is the Lovespell skins. At last count I believe they are up to 30 makeups in 5 skin tones. Each comes with the regular and the freckle version of the skin.

My favorite part of this new line is the lips. They are soft and pouty and some are slightly glossy.

The makeup options are perfectly done, very soft and subtle. There is a slight blush upon the cheeks giving you a healthy glow. The shading on the face and body is beautiful and soft. I use the word soft a lot because that is what comes to mind when I see these skins. They remind me of the beautiful women in old movies, soft, voluptuous, beautiful.

I am a huge fan of freckle skins and Mimi and Rosemary deliver with all of their skins. As always the freckles are cute and all over the body.

Mimi and Rosemary also offer a wide selection of clothing in their shop. From Lingerie to swimsuits to adorable dresses, they have something for everyone and a variety of separates for easy mix and matching. The lingerie I am wearing in these photos is one of their newest from the The Fringed Lingerie Set. This set is detailed with flowers and fringe along the bra and pantie. Again the style here reminds me of old Hollywood style.

This is how my brain works on cold meds I start thinking about something randomly in my inventory. In this case the Starlust Valentine Hunt skins from Schadenfreude which have a doll option (ie no bits). So then I was thinking that it could work on a male. I thought some more and into my head popped Twisted Sister. Dee Snider rocked some heavy make up sorta like this. Now I need hair, the bigger and more outrageous the better. I knew just what to use. Then there was the clothes, this was easier then I thought because I knew I had this outfit from Winter Moon floating around in my vast closet somewhere.

So there you have it my sheer genius or complete loss of mental stability either way it was fun.

Who wore it best volume 2

Consider this the grid wide hunt edition of who wore it best, sorta. The shirt and pants are one of Alphamale's hunt gifts. This time instead of wearing the same hair I chose to wear the male and female versions of the same hair. This hair was a group gift from Philotic Energy way back in January..hehe. Both the skins are from Belleza but only the male skin was from the hunt.




Overall I love this look on both of me but I have to admit the girl looks better in that tomboy sorta way. Oh and the shoes are the Jax boots from LazyPlaces, very similar to the ones given out at Halloween during that grid wide hunt. So who do you think looks better?

My emo Valentine

Now in theory this is supposed to be a two part deal with one day being emo and the other all mushy and lovey. Hopefully I will be able to get to the second one or else I may have tortured someone for no reason.

I personally have a love/hate thing going on with Valentine’s Day. Maybe it stems from years of being sick for Valentine’s Day, or possibly the fact that in real life I look horrid in pink and red. Or it could just be that my inner cynic sees this day as one where we are urged to buy things that well we just don’t need or want? I mean seriously how often has any man actually worn silk boxers with red hearts all over them? And ladies how often do you actually look at that stuffed bear that once held chocolates? Once the chocolates are gone the bear really has no purpose. But that is neither here nor there. I decided to put together an outfit that while it does have hearts is not all sugary sweet like the candies I adore.


Oh yes some of you will be cursing my name because I used a shirt and skirt that were holiday gifts from Artilleri, sorry for that. At least you can get everything else.

My View: Naive's new releases...

I have decided that the word review means different things to different people so instead of calling this a review I am going to call it my view. Now on with the post.

I am going to start with the Catwalk Collection dress Longing. This vibrant red dress comes just in time for Valentine's Day. Now in my opinion you need to be more on the brave side of fashion to wear this because of the low slung skirt and tummy revealing top. Neither which are a bad thing mind you.

I was reminded of belly dancers in this dress and the bare belly gave me the perfect excuse to wear a belly ring! The one I am wearing is from the Sanu's Scribbling quest. I am a sucker for a puzzle and this didn't disappoint.

Another of the new releases is the Boho skirt. This skirt reminds me of something you can catch me wearing in RL in the summer. It just exudes this light floaty feeling that makes me long for lazy summer days instead of the cold ice covered mess I have now.

I paired the skirt with the freebie top from Ornamental Life because the floral swirls are similar to the swirls in the skirt. I also accessorized this look with a necklace from Primcision. The Soliel necklace seemed to compliment this look very well and as will all of Talia's jewelry a work of tiny prim wonder.

Who wore it best?

I was wracking my brain trying to come up with a plausible reason to dress like a man other then "Sakura said to". Then it hit me, do a who wore it best type of deal. I am sure you have seen one somewhere before either on a celebrity website or some magazine. For mine here I decided to have my boy self and girl self wear the same outfit and let you decide who looked better.



So who looks better? Oh and since I had so much fun look for more of these in the future!

Not your average male

We have all seen and lusted after Achariya's Boi Av and we have all heard the "Abyss clone" complaints. I decided it was time to see if I was capable of creating a believable male avatar. I should probably let you all know that this is not an alt. This is me. If you see me walking around inworld I will have the name Sakuradawn. Maybe my pixel parents were really hoping for a girl.

When it came to picking a skin I knew what one I wanted. The Koji skin from Animus and Slanted Fox is one of the best male skins I have seen. The skintone is flawless. The body isn't overly muscular like most male skins are. The lips are amazing, perfect color. There is no heavy eyeliner (guyliner?) as seen on many skins and often complained about, so no Emo boy here. The only available tone and option is what you see here. I really hope to see more of these done in the future. The Koji skin has a female counterpart named Kumi (see photo here, she is really beautiful)that can be found at the Animus shop The Koji skin can be found in the Slanted Fox shop and goes for 1000ld.

As for clothing, I pretty much already owned everything you see me wearing. I often buy unisex clothing because I am very much a tomboy in both lives. I did however have to find a good male shirt since most of what I own have shading for boobs. I wandered over to Sinistyle and picked out the Beatdown shirt in black. Surprisingly enough, this looks great on my female self too. (aka Sakura only changed her shape, skin and hair today. I'm sick and lazy today.)

For the shape, I started with a copy of of Sven's shape then did some heavy modding. I was going for the Elf next door/best guy friend/brother look. Phire says I ended up making his face look like he is a male version of my female AV. I call that success. :D

You will probably be seeing more blog posts of the male Sakura. I am hoping to show off a good Male style and blog clothing that isn't often seen on the popular male blogs.

Also, I would love to see what other bloggers can come up with as far as creating a believable avatar of the opposite sex. No, this isn't a blogger challenge meant to take over the feeds. This is my own natural curiosity and my secret desire to do a boi post with Acha *wiggles eyebrows in a pervy sorta way*
